Bobby Lolley, RN
Bobby Lolley is HCAF’s Executive Director. He has worked in the home care industry for the past 18 years. His experiences in home care have ranged from being a per-diem staff nurse providing care to patients in a small rural community, to a Regional Director for a large national chain. Bobby often says he has done just about every job there is in home care but still remembers his first home visit: “I was standing there in this little old lady's house and a feeling came over me that I had finally come home — I knew then and there this would be where I would spend the remainder of my professional life.” His faith and passion for home care has never wavered since.
Bobby graduated Cum Laude from the Valdosta State University in 1992 with a Bachelors Degree in Nursing.
Monica Smith is HCAF’s Deputy Director. Monica started with HCAF in February 2009 after five years with the Connecticut Association for Home Care & Hospice as the Vice President of Education and Membership Services. Prior to working with home care associations she provided programming and optimization consulting services nationwide to hospitals, laboratories, and physician groups.
Monica holds a B.S. in Health Systems Management from the University of Connecticut and she graduated with distinction from Quinnipiac University with an MBA and a concentration in Health Care Administration.
ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR OF MEMBERSHIP SERVICES
Julia Heath joined HCAF in December 2009. She previously worked at Guilday, Tucker, Schwartz, and Simpson, P.A. She graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science in Recreation and Leisure Services Administration.
DIRECTOR OF CLINICAL AND REGULATORY AFFAIRS
Patti Heid, MSPT, COS-C
Patti Heid is HCAF’s Director of Clinical and Regulatory Affairs. Patti has been a Physical Therapist for 23 years and has worked in the home care setting for 21 of those years. Patti believes that nothing can compare to the rapport that one develops with a patient while working with them and their families, in their own homes, helping overcome the “real-life” day-to-day challenges that they face. Over the years, Patti has gained valuable experience by fulfilling many key roles within the home care arena, from field clinician through the management level. All these roles have given Patti a deep abiding respect and admiration for the good that home care providers can achieve.
Patti graduated from St. John’s University in New York in 1991 with a B.S. in Biology. She obtained her M.S.P.T. degree from the University of Miami in 1993. She is also active with the home care section of the APTA.
DIRECTOR OF GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS AND COMMUNICATIONS
Kyle Simon is the Director of Government Affairs and Communications. His background includes several years of health policy, advocacy, and political experience. He has worked with federal and state policy makers on Medicare, Medicaid, prescription drugs, and regulatory issues, served members of Congress, managed a statewide political organization representing the President of the United States, and held leadership roles in multiple political campaigns. Additionally, he has been an Adjunct Professor at Valencia College since 2012. He holds a Master of Science in Applied American Politics and Policy and a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Florida State University.
DIRECTOR OF PRIVATE DUTY SERVICES
Kristen Wheeler is the newest member of the HCAF team, joining in July 2016. Involved in health care since 1990, she brings more than 10 years of experience in private duty home care. Between 2005 and 2016, she created and ran a private duty division under the umbrella of a certified, skilled agency as well as co-owned a licensed-only, non-skilled private duty agency.
